Title: Counselor In Training

Years at Camp: 2nd summer in 2011

Department: Rock Music, Music, Sports

Camp Bio:

This will be my first summer working at Camp Ballibay. I first came to Ballibay in 2009 and I am very excited to be a CIT for this summer. I wanted to come back to camp Ballibay as a CIT because of the great experience I had when I was a camper. I can't wait to meet all of the new campers and I hope they have as much fun as I had when I was a camper, and as much fun as I'm going to have as a CIT.

Professional/School Bio:

I will be entering my senior year at Stratford Central High School next year. After that, I plan on going off to University most likely study Business. I love to listen and play music. I have had many band oriented experiences, as well as marching in two drum corps. I also enjoy riding bikes and hanging out with friends.

Arrival Date at Camp: July 10, 2011

Home Town: Stratford, Ontario, Canada

About the Staff of the Ballibay Camps

A key to the success of any camping season is staff. We spend a great deal of time screening and selecting our staff before every summer, and we have been fortunate to have many talented counselors and teachers remain with us season after season. Our staff members are predominantly educators and university students from the United States, although we also have a strong international component to our staff.

Our staff members come to us with outstanding credentials: professional experience, a background in teaching, and/or exceptional skills in their specialties. Most of all, we seek good, caring people who are interested in the well-being and growth of children. We look for people who, knowing something of the competitive nature of the adult world, are excited to put those concerns aside for a summer and focus on "the journey" in a non-competitive, fun, friendly environment.
