Camp Bio:

Lori and her family are looking forward to returning to Camp for another fabulous summer! She and her husband, Mark, are the resident camp nurses on the Ballibay Campus. Together they look after both camper and staff medical needs and treat any injuries that may arise. They have two daughters that are campers and a young son who enjoys many aspects of camp life while attending camp with Lori and Mark. The nursing staff works out of the office and are available by phone for questions or concerns during the summer.

Professional/School Bio:

Lori is a Registered Nurse holding current licenses in the states of Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. She received her Bachelors Degree in the Science of Nursing from Widener University. Lori has worked in the nursing field for 14 years where she has primarily focused in women's health, obstetrics and education. She currently homeschools her three school aged children and limits her nursing to summer camp in order to be available to teach during the school year. Lori loves to travel and enjoys sharing new experiences with her family. Lori and Mark have been married for ten years and have three children, ages 9, 7 and 4.

About the Staff of the Ballibay Camps

A key to the success of any camping season is staff. We spend a great deal of time screening and selecting our staff before every summer, and we have been fortunate to have many talented counselors and teachers remain with us season after season. Our staff members are predominantly educators and university students from the United States, although we also have a strong international component to our staff.

Our staff members come to us with outstanding credentials: professional experience, a background in teaching, and/or exceptional skills in their specialties. Most of all, we seek good, caring people who are interested in the well-being and growth of children. We look for people who, knowing something of the competitive nature of the adult world, are excited to put those concerns aside for a summer and focus on "the journey" in a non-competitive, fun, friendly environment.
